Q & A by The Bad Guy

Q: Have you always dreamt of becoming a hip hop artist? Or was there a specific / significant life event that led you to following this dream?

A- I was 4 years old the first time I seen “I get around” 2 Pac Music Video. That’s when I knew I was going to be who I am today. But as life goes on it takes you through different obstacles that you don’t have control over. You only have control over your reaction to those obstacles. As I grew older and started to learn who I was as a person I learned that I have the gift to bring people together and bring change, and that’s what led me to continue to follow this dream.

Q: How would you describe your current style of music?

A: Wavy lyrical gangsta rap

Q: You grew up in SoCal, what impact has that had on your music career?

A: Growing up in Southern California has impacted my style and my sound. From the beat selection to the projection of my voice. It was automatically inherited.

Q: The "southern trap/rap" trend seems to be gaining more popularity. What do you think that means for Cali rap music?

A: I think down south rappers have great unity. And to say the least, that’s all the West is missing. Too much hate, not enough love, we’ve got everything else.

Q: If you could pick any artist to collaborate with on your next album, who would it be and why?

A: Ice Cube because he started this Gangsta shit.

Q: Outside of other hip hop artists, what is your favorite/ most influential genre or artist?

A: I listen to all music; jazz, country, rap, r&b, blues, oldies...you name it I listen to it. I just love music man.

Q: What do you have planned for the rest of 2018? Where do you see your music going in 5 years?

A: Put out a couple more projects and see where my hard work takes me. I don’t know what the universe has in store for me. I just know time waits for no man.

Q: What advice would you give to young artists just starting out?

A: Don’t be a rapper, be a doctor or something.
